Mr. PetersdorfF professes to give a succint view of the practice of the three Courts at Westminster, as recently modified. This Abridgment, in a great measure, supersedes the necessity of pos- sessing the elder Reports. The Cases are, generally, correctly abridged, the references numerous and applicable, and the work is as free from mistakes as could be expected from the nature of the undertaking. Such errata as were discovered in the English, are corrected in the American edition, and PetersdorfTs Abridgment is an exceedingly convenient book of reference, though it was never a general favorite with the Profession.
