" This is a general and comprehensive Treatise on the subject of Crimes and offences at Common, and by the Statute Law of England and Kentucky. The subjects are arranged under alphabetical Titles, and the definitions of every species of offence are given. It appears to be a work of much labour, combining most of what is to be found in ele- mentary writers on the Criminal Law of England, and elucidated by adjudged Cases accompanied with very judicious remarks. It is well deserving a place in a lawyer's library, especially for the use of stu- dents. The Act under which this revision was made, is, in some respects, peculiar and curious. The Review was never adopted, or substituted in the place of the English reports, as a Commentary upon the Criminal Laws of the State, which was the professed object."
