The translator of these Reports states, that " some eminent and judi- cious pen, (unhappily by time buried in oblivion,) hath made some ad- ditions of cases to our great author, no less quaint, than useful, which being found in one entire, exact, French copie ; you have here, with all diligence, faithfully rendered in English." From the Preface to Benloe and Dalison's Reports we are informed that this volume is improperly ascribed to Judge Wynch, and Mr. Umfreville attributes it to a Mr. Allestree.
