Dear and Honoured Sir,
To-morrow being the day appointed for our breaking up for the holidays, I ſhall be happy, if it were agreeable to you, to ſpend the vacation at home, as I feel a ſtrong inclination to ſee my dear father and mother again, my ſiſters, and other loving relations. Should my requeſt meet with your approbation, ſince my maſter has referred me to you, I ſhall prepare for my journey early in the week, when I hope perſonally to declare myſelf.

My dear Boy,
Just on the receipt of your letter, your mother and I, after ſome ſerious conſideration, had reſolved to write to your maſter, reſpecting the requeſt you have made. I am happy to find that it is agreeable to him, for, believe me, we are as eager to ſee you, as you can poſſibly be to ſee us. I admire your wiſh, as it is the reſult of filial affection; therefore, as ſoon as poſſible, prepare for your journey. Meanwhile, believe me to be,
