WOMEN SELL EGGS
TO CUT LIVING COST
PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 11.—One hundred
and fifty thousand dozen of eggs, at
24 cents a dozen, were sold to-day from
a score or more stations scattered
throughout the city, a record which will
probably be doubled to-morrow. This is
the result of the first endeavor of the
new Housekeepers' League of Philadelphia
in its campaign against the present
high cost of living.
