Gwynne's Looking-Glass,' in The Illus- trated Magazine, edited by Douglas Jerrold, 1843, vol. i. p. 16, beginning :

INSCRIPTIONS AT NAPLES. THE old Protestant Cemetery at Naples is divided into two unequal portions by a broad path, running roughly east and west, connecting the two entrance gates. The western gate is reached from a dirty little " piazza " on the east side of the Corso Garibaldi. The following inscriptions (taken in May last) are all on the north side of the path that is, to the left as one enters by the western gate and are either on or immediately under the north wall. Some of the inscriptions are wholly or partially illegible in a few cases owing to the stone being broken, but in most cases owing to accumulations of dirt or moss.

1. Thos. Welch Hunt, Esq., of Wadenhoe, Northants, ob. Friday, 3 Dec., 1824, a, 28. Caroline his w., eldest d. of the Rev. Chas. Euseby Isham, of the same co., ob. the following Sunday, a. 23. They had been married but 10 months when, in an excursion to Psestum, a bullet fired by an assassin on 3 Dec., pierced at the same time husband and wife.
