Who it is that seeks to win thee,
From the path of wrong and sorrow;
Breathing hope of brighter morrow;

Thou would' St bow thy stubborn will;

With the living water pure,
With the peace that will endure.

If thou knewest of the gladness
That shall take the place of sadness;
When the soul from guilt set free,
Bathes in light and purity:
