PROMETHEUS BOUND.

Io. Conceal not from me that which I shall suffer.
Pro. It is not that I grudge the boon.
Io.Then, wherefore
Delayest thou to tell me all?
Pro.Not grudging.
But that I fear to wring thine heart.
Io. Be not
More careful for me than is grateful to me.
Pro. Since thou art eager, I will speak. Then, hear me.

Herself narrating her consuming woes:
And be what toils remain declared by thee.
Pro. Io, 'tis thine t' attend these nymphs' request;

Where it is possible to draw a tear
From those who hearken, is a well-paid labour.
