Provisions as to Scottish University Elections.

Returning Officer.

1. The returning officer for the combined Scottish University constituency shall be the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh, to whom tbe writ for any election of a member or members of Parliament for that constituency shall be directed.

2. It shall be the duty of the returning officer to make all arrangements for the election, including: arrangements for the nomination of candidates, and (where a poll is neccssary ) for the poll and counting of votes to certify the result of the election in pursuance of the writ.

  • This form will require modification where the transferable vote is not used at the election.
