The President motored from the Brussels Hilton Hotel to the NATO headquarters. He was accompanied by members of his official party and by Harlan Cleveland, U.S. Amb., to NATO.

The President and his official party were greeted at the en­trance to NATO headquarters by:
Manlio Brosio. Sec. General to NATO
Osman Olcay, Deputy Sec. Gen. of NATO
William I. Cargo, Deputy U. S . Permanent Rep. to NATO
Burton E. Spivy. Gen., U.S. Military Rep. to NATO

The President and official party were escorted to the lounge area where numerous NATO officials were introduced to the President. Among those introduced were:

Lyman Lemnitzer, Gen., SACEUR
Permanent members of the NATO Council, see APPENDIX "A".
National Military representatives, see APPENDIX "A".

The President was then escorted into the Council Chamber by Secretary General Manlio Brosio where he met with the permanent members. See APPENDIX "A" for list.

The President then went to the Conference Room of Sec. Gen., Manlio Brosio for private talks. Among those attending were:

William P. Rogers, Sec. of State
Henry A. Kissinger, Asst. for NSA
Harlan Cleveland, Amb. to NATO
Martin Hillenbrand, Asst. Sec. to NATO
Manlio Brosio, Sec. Gen., of NATO
and permanent members of NATO, SEE APPENDIX "A".

The President then met in the office of Secretary General Manlio Brosio with the National Military representatives to NATO. See APPENDIX "A".
