AT THE WHITE HOUSE
1000 HOURS, FRIDAY, 7 MARCH 1969

East Room

TIME: EVENT:
1000 The President arrives to the Red Room and greets Secretary Resor, General Westmoreland, recipients and families. The introductions will be made by one of the Armed Forces Aides. (White House photographers will be available for photographs.)
1009 Relatives are moved to seats in the East Room.
1013 Ruffles and flourishes will be played when the President is ready to depart the Red Room. The President will be announced followed by "Hail to the Chief." At this time, the President and the Medal of Honor party proceed to the East Room.
1015 The President makes appropriate remarks.
1020 Secretary Resor reads the Citations. The President presents appropriate medal after each Citation is read. Order of presentation:

Sergent First Class Fred W. Zabitosky
Staff Sergeant Joe R. Hooper
Specialist Five Clarence E. Sasser

1030 The President departs the East Room. (A receiving line will be in the Blue Room if the President desires).
