These he thus classifies: abandoned to the enemy, two;[1] lost in France, three;[2] lost in Holland, two;[3] sunk in the action (off Gravelines), two;[4] wrecked off Scotland and Ireland, nineteen; fate unknown, thirty-five. Of the lost vessels, twenty-six were galleons and ships, thirteen were "urcas," or hulks, twenty were patasses, three were galleasses, and one was a galley.
