EXP. CA P. IV. An Act for the further Relief of his Majeſty's Army, and the Northern Parts of the King dom. EXP. 131 (II.) ND be it enacted by the Authority aforeſaid, That the Paffing of this preſent Act or of any Divers Statutes of Parliament, fhall not be any Determination of the ſaid Seffion; and that all Statutes and Acts of Par- liament which have their Continuance, or were by an Act of Parliament made in the third Year of the 3 Car. r. c. 4. Suits in the Law; the fame Time being the chief Time of all the Year for the Sowing of Land with Winter Corn, and for the diſpoſing and ſetting in Order of all their Winter Huſbandry and Busineſs, and for the receiving and paying of Rents; and in many Parts of this Kingdom Harveſt is ſeldom or never inned till three Weeks after the ſaid Feaſt:' II. Therefore the King's moft excellent Majefty, out of the Princely Care that he hath of all his Spd. Rem. 71 loving Subjects, having a ſpecial Care to the Increaſe and Continuance of their Wealth and good Eſtates, by the Aſſent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this preſent Parliament aſſembled, and by the Authority of the fame, ordaineth, enacted and eſtabliſheth, That in the ſaid Michael- mas Term there fhall be fix common Days of Return only, and not above; that is to fay, (2) the firſt Day of the Return thereof fhall be and be called A die Sancti Michaelis in tres Septimanas; (3) the fe- In Michael.as cond Day of Return of the fame Term fhall be and be called A die Santti Machaelis in unum ſem; fix common (4) the third Day of Return of the fame Term fhall be and be called In Craftino Animarum; (5) the Days of Return fourth Day of Return of the fame Term fhall be and be called In Craftino Sancti Martini; (6) the fifth only. Day of Return of the fame Terim fhall be and be called In Oftabis Sancti Martini; (7) and the ſixth Day of Return of the ſaid Tenn fhall be and be called A die Sancti Martini in quindecim dies: Term be ſeived. III. And that the fame Days of Return fhall be obſerved in all the High Courts of Record of our So- vereign Lord the King, his Heirs and Succeffors, hereafter to be holden at Weftminfier, or other Place or Places at the Affignment or Appointment of our Sovereign Lord the King, his Heirs and Succeffors: (2) The Return- And that from and after the Feaſt of St. Michael the Archangel next coming there fhall not be nor be pays to be be called any Days of Return in 'Octabis Sancti Michaelis, nor A die Sancti Michaelis in quindecim dies,' nor either of them: (3) And that the ſaid Term of St. Michael yearly for ever, from and after the ſaid Feaſt of St. Michael the Archangel next coming, begin in and upon the ſaid Tres ſeptimanas Sancti Michaelis,' whenfoever it fhall happen to fall (except it be on the Lord's Day commonly called Sunday, and then on the Morrow next after) for the keeping of the Effoins, Profers, Returns and other Ceremo- nies heretofore uſed and kept, in like Manner and Form as hath been uſed to be done in the Day of the Two Return- Return, commonly called Octabis Sancti Michaelis: (4) And that the full Term of St. Michael fhall Days taken yearly away.
