' T X 7 H E R E A S at the Parliament begun at Weflminjler the third Day of November in the fixteenth c yy Year of the Reign of our late Sovereign Lord King Charles of ElefTed Memory, fince deceafed, ' an A&. of Parliament was made, intituled. An Aii for aifenahling all Perfons in Holy Orders to exercife ■' any Tetnporal Jurifdiciion or Authority ; (2) which A<ft hatn made feveral j^.l 'aerations prejudicial to the ' Conftitution and antient Rights of Parliament, and contrary to the Laws Ci this Land, and is by Ex- ' perience found otherwife inconvenient ;' (3) Be it enacted by the King's moil excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords and Commons in this prelent Parliament aflembled, and by the Authority of the fame. That the faid A<5t, intituled. An Acl for difenabling all Perfons in Holy Orders to exercife any Temporal Jurifdi£fion or Authority, and every Claule, Matter and Thing therein con- tained, ihall be and is hereby from henceforth repealed, annulled and made void to all Intents and Purpoles whatfoever.
