And for every Gallon of Salt and Rock Salt, tha; from and after the faid firft Day of 'Jidy one thou- fand fix hundred ninety-eight, and before the five and twentieth Day oi December, which Ihall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, fhall be made at the Salt Works, or taken out of ' any Salt Pit or Pits within the faid Kingdom oi Evgland, Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tiveed, or {old or delivered from the fame, there (hall be paid to His Majefty the Sum of two Pence Half- peny of like Money, and after that Rate for a greater or leffer Qiiantity. V. And for every Gallon of Salt and Rock Salt, that from and after the four and twentieth Day of De- cember one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, and in all Times coming from thenceforth for ever, fhall be made at the Salt Works, or be taken out of any Pit or Pits within the Kingdom, Dominion, or Town aforefaid, there fhall be paid to His Majefty, His Heirs and Succeffors, as a perpetual Duty, the Sum of three Pence Halfpeny of like Money, and after that Rate for a greater or leffer Quantity ; which faid Du- ties upon Salt, hereby granted, fhall neverthelefi be fubjecS to fuch Condition and Power of Redemption as are hereafter in this Adl contained. VI. And be it further enaifed by the Authority aforefaid.
