Exchequer, for her Majefly's Ufe, at or before the refpeftive Days and Times in this Aft limited in that Behalf, any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding in the whole the faid Sum of fix hundred and forty thoufand Pounds, for purchafing any Annuity or Annuities to be paid and payable during the full Term of ninety-nine Years, to be reckoned from the five and twentieth Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and eight, at the Rate of fixteen Years Purchafe, which Rate doth amount to the Sum of one hundred and fixty Pounds for every fuch Annuity of ten Pounds ji«- Amium, and proportionably for any greater Annuity ; and the fame Rate, or Confideration-m.oney, is hereby appointed to be paid into the faid Receipt at or before the refpeftive Days and Times herein after men- tioned ; that is to fay. IX. And it is hereby enafted. That in the Offices of the Auditor of the Receipt, and Clerk of the Contributors Pells in the Exchequer feverally, there fhall be provided and kept a Book or Books, in which there fhall ^^^J"" |.° ^ '"' be fairly entred the Names of all who fhall be Contributors, and of all Perfons by whofe Hands the fuid ^' ' '" Contributors fhall pay in any of the faid Sums upon this Aft, and alfo the Sums fo paid, and the Times when the fame are refpeftively paid : To which Book it fliall be lawful for the faid refpeftive Contributors, their Executors, Adminiflrators and Affigns, from time to time, and all feafonable Times, to have Re- fort, and to infpeft the fame without Fee or Reward. X. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. XI. Provided ahvays.
