And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the Monies lent to his Majefty at the Re- ceipt of Exchequer, upon Credit of a Vote or Refolution of the Houfe of Commons, made and paffed oh or about the fifth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and fixteen, not exceeding fix hundred thou- sand Pounds, for the Service of the Publick, by Sea or Land? which Loans, witn the Jntereft thereof, were appointed to be transferred to the Regifter upon the Aft, intituled, An Ad for granting an Aid to his Majefty by a Land-tax in Great Britain, for the Service of the Yean on: thoufand feven hundred and feventeen, and all other the Monies lent and to be lent to his Majefty upon that Acl, and fo much Money (if any fuch be] of the Tax thereby granted, as fhall arife and remain after all the Loans made or to be made on that Act, or thereby transferred, or directed to be transferred thereunto, and the Intereft thereof, and the Charges thereby allowable for railing the faid Tax fhall be fatisfied, or Monies fufiicient fhall be referved to Geo. 1, c 4. difcharge the fame; and all Monies lent and to be lent to his Majefty upon an Act of this Seffion of Par- liament for continuing the Duties on Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and feventeen, and fo much of the Duties on Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry thereby granted or continued, as fhall arife and remain (if any fuch be) after all the Loans made or to be made on the fame Ail:, or thereby transferred, or directed to be transferred thereunto, and the Intereft . thereof, and the Charges thereby allowable for raifing the fame Duties fhall be fatisfied, or Monies fuffi- cient fhall be referved to difcharge the fame, fhall be appropriated and applied, and are hereby appropri- ated for or towards the feveral Ufes, Intents and Purpofes herein exprelled, fubject neverthelefs to fuch Reftrictions as are herein after prefcribed; that is to fay, it is hereby enacted and declared. That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided, as aforefaid, there fhall or may be illued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding in the whole the Sum of nine hundred forty-feven thoufand five hundred .and fixty Pounds five Shillings and three Pence, for or towards the naval Services following; that is to fay, For or towards defraying the Charges of the Ordinary of his Majefty 's. Navy, and for Half-pay to Sea- officers; and for or towards Victual, Wages, Wear and Tear of the Navy, and victualling thereof, per- formed and to be performed; and for or towards Sea-fervice in the Office of Ordnance performed and to ■be performed; and for and towards extraordinary Works and Repairs of his Majefty 's Navy, and furnifh- ing fuch Sea-flores as are neceffary for the fame, and other Services of the Navy and Tranfports, performed and to be performed; and any Sum not exceeding feventy-three thoufand feventy-feven Pounds nine Shil- lings and three Pence, for the Charge of the Office of Ordnance, for or towards Land-fervices performed and to be performed; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding in the whole the Sum of one Mil- lion two hundred feventy-three thoufand nine hundred and ten Pounds nine Shillings and fix Pence, for or towards maintaining his Majefty's Land-forces, and other Services herein after exprefTed; that is to" fay, For or towards maintaining Guards, Garrifons, and other his Majefty's Land-forces in Great Britain, Jcr- ©rdinavyofthe Navy.
