William and Queen Mary, intituled, Ah Acl for granting to their Majefties certain Rates and Duties ofEx-* Sc 5 vf ' ScM '- c'fe upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for fecuring certain Recompences and Advantages in the faid Acl men- c ' 3 " tioned, to fuch Perfons asfiall voluntarily advance the Sum often hundred thoufand Pounds toivards carrying on the War againfl France, certain Rates and Duties of Excife upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, we're granted to the Crown for the Term of ninety-nine Years, which commenced from the twenty-fifth Day of January one thoufand fix hundred ninety-two ; and by virtue of the fame Act, and divers fubfequent A£ts relating thereunto, the faid Rates and Duties of Excife, fo granted by the faid Act of the fourth Year of their late Majefty's Reign, do now ftand charged (amongft other Things) with feveral Annui- ties amounting to one hundred twenty-four thoufand four hundred and nine Pounds one Shilling and nine Pence per Annum ; Part of which Annuities were purchafed upon a Term of ninety-fix Years which commenced from the twenty-fifth Day of January one thoufand fix hundred ninety-five • and another Part thereof upon a Term of eighty-nine Years, which commenced from the twenty-fifth Day of January one thoufand feven hundred and two ; and during the refpective Remainders of the faid re- fpective Teams are payable to the refpective Proprietors thereof, according to the Nature of their feveral and refpective Eftates and Interefls therein, whereof fome are in PofTeffion, and others to take Effect in Reverfion, or by way of future Intereft : And the faid Rates and Duties of Excife originally granted for the faid Term of ninety-nine Years, have been continued and made perpetual by feveral Acts of Parlia- ment fince made and parted, for feveral Ufes and Purpofes therein expreffed. And by one Act of the fifth Year of the Reign of their faid late Majefties King William and Queen Mary, intituled, An Acl for 5 * 6 W ' &M ' granting to their Majejiies feveral Rates and Duties upon Tonnage of Ships and Veffels, and upon Beer, Ale and other Liquors, for fecuring certain Recompences and Advantages in the faid Acl mentioned, to fuch Perfons as flyall voluntarily advance the Sum of fifteen hundred thoufand Pounds towards carrying on the War again/} France, feveral Rates and Duties upon Tonnage of Ships and Veffels were laid for four Years which commenced from the firft Day of June one thoufand fix hundred and ninety-four ; and feveral addi- tional Rates and Duties of Excife upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, commencing from the feveu- teenth Day of May one thoufand fix hundred and ninety-feven, were granted to their faid Majefties ' their Heirs and Succeflbrs, and by virtue of the Act laft mentioned, and of divers fubfequent Acts re* ' lating thereunto, towards raifing the Sum of three hundred thoufand Pounds therein mentioned the faid' Rates and Duties upon Tonnage of Ships and Veffels, and the faid additional Rates and Duties of Ex- ' cife, granted by the faid Act of the fifth Year of their faid late Majefties Reign, or two feventh Parts of • the faid additional Excife, do now ftand charged (amongft other Things) with feveral' Annuities 5 & 6 W ' * M ' 1 amounting to fifteen thoufand two hundred thirty-fix Pounds and twelve Shillings per Annum ■ Part of " ' which Annuities laft mentioned were purchafed upon the Term of ninety-fix Ye.irs, which commenced ' from the twenty-fifth Day of January one thoufand fix hundred and ninety-five ; and another Part there- ' of upon the Term of eighty-nine Years, which commenced from the twenty-fifth Day of January one 1 * 2 ' thoufand
