C. 4. 245 mainder of that Term are payable to the feveral and 1-efpective Proprietors thereof, out of the Monies arifing by the feveral Rates and Duties upon Low Wines and Spirits of the firft Extraction, and the Duties payable by Hawkers, Pedlars and petty Chapmen, and the Duties upon Sweets, and the Duties upon ftampt Vellum, Parchment and Paper, and an additional Subfidy thereby granted or continued, for fuch refpective Terms as are therein mentioned, and out of the refpective Overplus Monies of other An- nuity Funds, and other Monies by the fame Act chargeable with the Payment thereof, in fuch Manner and Form as are thereby prefcribed in that Behalf; and the faid feveral Duties on Low Wines and Spirits of the firft Extraction, and upon Hawkers, Pedlars and petty Chapmen, and the faid Part of the Duties on ftampt Vellum, Parchment and Paper, and the faid late Duties on Sweets, have feverally been con- tinued and made perpetual by fundry Acts of Parliament fince made and parted for feveral Ul'cs and Pur- pofes therein exprefled. And by an Act of the fixth Year of the Reign of her faid late Majefty Queen 6 Ann. c. 5. Unite, intituled, An Acl for raifing a further Supply to her Majefly for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and eight, and other Ufes, by Sale of Annuities charged on a Fund not exceeding forty thoufand Pounds per Annum, to arife by appropriating feveral Surpluses, and by granting further Terms in 'the Duties on Low Wines, and on Hawkers, Pedlars and petty Chapmen, the Stamp Duties, the one third Subfidy, the Duty on Sweets, and one of the Branches of the Excife, and by making other Provifwn in this Act mentioned, feveral Annuities, amounting to forty thoufand Pounds per Annum, were purchafed for a Term of ninety- nine Years, reckoned from the twenty-fifth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and eight, at the like Rate of fixtecn Years Purchafe, and during the Remainder of that Term are payable to the feveral and refpective Proprietors thereof, out of a yearly Fund or Sum of forty thoufand Pounds per Annum, by that Act eftablifhed and charged upon fuch Surplufles or Overplus Monies, and further Grants of feveral Duties and other Provifions as are therein mentioned for anfwering the fame. And by another Act of the faid fixth Year of the Reign of her faid late Majefty Queen Anne, intituled, An Acl for continuing^ Ann - c ' «• one half Part of the Subfidies of Tonnage and Poundage, and other Duties upon Wines, Goods and Merchandizes imported, which were granted to the Crown in the twelfth Year of the Reign of King Charles the Second, and for fettling a Fund thereby, and by other Ways and Means, for Payment of Annuities not exceeding eighty thou- fand Pounds per Annum, to h, fold for raifing a further Supply to her Majefly for the Service of the Year one thoufand fven hundred and eight, and other Ufes therein cxprejfed, feveral Annuities, amounting to eighty thoufand Pounds per Annum, were purchafed for a Term of ninety-nine Years, reckoned from the twenty-fouith Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and eight, at the like Rate of fixteen Years Purchafe, and during the Remainder of that Term are payable to the feveral and refpective Proprietors thereof; and are by the fame Act charged upon the Monies arifing from Time to Time of or for the half Subfidy of Tonnage and Poundage, and other Duties thereby granted or continued for a Term of Years therein mentioned, and other Monies thereby appointed, lor Payment of the fame Annuities in the Manner and Form thereby prefcribed ; and the faid half Subfidy of Tonnage and Poundage hath fince been continued and made perpetual by an Act of Parliament fince made and palled, for feveral Ufes and Purpofes therein exprefled ; all which Annuities herein before-mentioned to be payable during the refpective Remainders of the faid feveral and refpective Terms of ninety-fix Years, eighty-nine Years, and ni:.ety-nine Years, do by Computation, amount in the whole, to fix hundred lixty-fix thoufand eight hundred twenty-one Pounds eight Shillings and three Pence Half-penny per Annum, or thereabouts. And whereas by an Act of Parliament made and pafied in the eighth Year of the Reign of her faid iateg Ann. j, Majefty Queen Anne, intituled, An Aft for granting to her Majejly new Duties of Excife, and upon feveral imported Commodities ; and for eftablifhing a yearly Fund thereby, and by other Ways and Means, to rail'e nine hundred thoufand Pounds by Sale of Annuities, and (in default thereof) by another Lottery, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and ten, feveral Annuities amounting to eighty -one thoufand Pounds per Annum, were purchafed for a Term of thirty-two Years, reckoned from the twenty-ninth Day of September one thoufand feven hundred and ten, at the Rate of nine Pounds per Annum for every one hun- dred Pounds, and proportionably for any greater Sum advanced or paid; and during the Remainder of the faid Term of thirty-two Years the fame Annuities are payable to the feveral and refpective Proprietors thereof, out of a yearly Fund or Sum of eighty-one thoufand Pounds by that Acl eftablifhed, and charged upon new Rates and Duties of Excife, and new Duties upon Pepper, Raifins, Nutmegs, Cinnamon, Cloves, Mace and Snuff's thereby granted, and other Provifions thereby made, for antV/ering the fame, yearly Fund in the Manner therein mentioned. And whereas by another Act of Parliament made in the eighth Year of the Reign of her faid late Majefty Queen Anns, intituled, An Acl for continuing Part of% Ann, c, 4., the Duties upon Coals, Culm and Cinders, and granting new Duties upon Houfes having twenty Windoivs, or ?nore, to raife the Sum of fifteen hundred thoufand Pounds by way of a Lottery for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and ten, certain additional or new Duties were impofed upon Coals, Culm and' Cinders, and upon Dwelling-houfes, for the Term of thirty-two Years, reckoned from the twenty-ninth Day of September one thoufand feven hundred and ten ; and a yearly Fund of one hundred and thirty-five thoufand Pounds was thereby eftablifhed, during thr.t Term, for Payment of fuch Lottery-annuities as fhould be founded upon that Act, and be payable upon fuch Tickets as were thereby prefcribed. And purfuant to an Act of the fifth Year of your Majefty's Reign, intituled,.
