And as to the faid Sum of forty-four thoufand fix hundred eighty-five Pounds two" Shillings and fix Pence, by this Act appropriated on Account of Half-pay as aforefaid ; it is hereby enacted and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That the Rules herein after prefcribed (hall be duly obferved in the Application thereof; that is to fay, That no Perfon mail have or receive any Part of the fame, •who was a Minor, and under the Age of fixteen Years, at the Time when the Regiment, Troop or Company, in which he ferved, was reduced; That no Perfon (hall have or receive any Part of the fame, except fuch Perfons who did actual Service in fome Regiment, Troop or Company ; that no Perfon having any other Place or Imployment of Profit, Civil or Military, under his Majefty, (hall have or receive any Part of the faid Ha'f-pay ; that no Chaplain of any Garilbn or Regiment, who has any Eccleliaftical Benefice in Great Britain or Ireland, fliall have or receive any of the faid Half-pay ; that no Perfon .mail have or receive any Part of the fame, who hath refigned his Commifiion, and hath had no Commifiion fince ; that no Part of the fame (hall be allowed to any Perfon by virtue of any War- rant or Appointment, except to fuch Perfons who would have been otherwife intitled to the fame as reduced Officers ; and that no Part of the fame (hall be allowed to any of the Officers of the five Regi- ments of Dragoons, and eight Regiments of Foot lately diibanded in Ireland, except to fuch as were lately taken oft the Eftablilhment of Half-pay in Great Britain. ' XLI. And whereas by an Act of Parliament made in the ninth Year of his Majefty's Reign, ' intituled, An Aft for enabling bis Majefty to borrow any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding fix hundred ' tkoufand Founds, to be charged upon the Surpluses, Exceffes, or Overplus Monies, commonly called The

  • Sinking Fund, redeemable by Parliament ; and jor the further Difpofition of the faid Fund, by paying off

' one million of South Sea Annuities ; and for appropriating the Supplies granted in this Seffton of Parliament ; ' feveral Supplies which had been granted to his Majefty, as is therein mentioned, were appropriated to ' feveral Ufes and Purpofes therein expreffed, amongft which, any Sum or Sums of Money not exceed- ' ing forty-fix thoufand feven hundred and eighty Pounds eighteen Shillings, was appropriated to be ' paid to the reduced Officers of his Majefty's Land Forces and Marines, fubject neverthelefs to fuch

' fcribed in that Behalf : ' Now It is hereby provided, enacted and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That fo much of the faid Sum of forty-fix thoufand feven hundred and eighty Pounds and eighteen Shil- lings, as is or fliall be more than fufficient to fatisfy the (aid reduced Officers, according to the faid Rules by the faid Act prefcribed to be obferved in the Application thereof, or any Part of fuch Overplus, (hall or may be difpofed of to fuch Officers who are maimed or loft their Limbs in the late Wars, or fuch others as by reafon of their long Service or otherwife his Majefty (hall judge to be proper Ob- jects of Charity, or to the Widows or Children of fuch Officers, according to fuch Warrant or Warrants under his Majefty's Royal Sign Manual, as (hall be figned in that Behalf; any thing in this Act, or the (aid former Acl to the contrary notwithftanding. CAP. XVIII. An Ad"t for rebuilding the Church of the Parifh of Saint Olave, in the City of London, and in the Borough of Southwark, in the County of Surry. WHEREAS the Church of the Parifh of Saint Olave, in the City of London, and Borough of Southward, ia the County of Surrey, is a very ancient Fabrick, and notwithftanding conlider-

  • able Sums of Money have been laid out by the Inhabitants of the faid Parifh in repairing and fupport-

4 ing the fame, Part thereof hath fallen down, and the other Part which is ftanding is in a very ruinous

  • Condition :' Now to the Intent the faid Church may be rebuilt for the publick Worihip of God, and

the Inftruclion of the Inhabitants of the faid Parifti in the true Chriftian Religion as now profefTed in the Church of England, and that the fame may be effected in the Manner that may be lead burthen- fome to the Inhabitants of the faid Partfh ; May it pleafe your moft Excellent Majefty, at the humble Requeft of the Rector, Churchwardens, and other Inhabitants of the faid Parifh, that it may be enacted, Izfc.
