And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all and every the Claufes, Pro- die Rilfs'made v 'foes, Powers, Privileges, Advantages, Penalties, Forfeitures and Difabilities contained in the faid b'ythe Malt Aft lail-mentioned Act, relating to the Loans or Exchequer Bills authorized to be made by the fame Aft to ex«nd to (except fuch Claufes as do charge the fame on the Duties or Impolitions granted or continued by the riofcoftius j- ame ^.j n^ a n b e applied and extended to the Exchequer Bills to be made in purfuance of this Act as fully and effectually to all Intents and Purpofes as if the fame Exchequer Bills had been originally authorized by the faid lad-mentioned Aft, or as if the faid feveral Claufes or Provifoes had been par- ticularly repeated or re-enacted in the Body of this prefent Act. XV". And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the Exchequer Bills as (hall be made in purfuance of this Act, and the Intereft, Premium, Rate and Charges incident to, or attending the lame, (hall be and are hereby charged and chargeable upon, and lhall be repaid and borne by or out of the growing Produce of the faid Surpluffes, Exceffes or Overplus Monies, commonly called The Sink- ing Fund (except fuch Monies of the find Sinking Fund as are appropriated to any particular Ufe or Dies by any former or other Act or Acts of Parliament in that Behalf j and fuch Monies of the laid Sinking Fund mall and may be iffued and applied, as fail as the fame can be regularly ftated and ascer- tained, for or towards paying off, cancelling and dilcharging fuch Exchequer Bills, Intereft, Premium Rate or Charges, until the whole of them (hall be paid oft, cancelled and difcharged, or Money fuffil cient for that Purpofe be kept and referved in the Exchequer, to be payable on Demand to the re- fpective Proprietors thereof. XVI. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That at or upon the Feaft Day of Saint Michael the Archangel one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-eight there (hail be iffued, paid and applied, to the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, the Sum of one million out of any the Aids or Supplies granted in this Seffion of Parliament, for redeeming the Annuity of forty thoufand Pounds, Part of the before-mentioned Annuity of fixty thoufand Pounds, in further Part of the faid principal Sum of two millions as aforefaid ; and that upon Payment thereof the An- nuity attending thereon (hall ceafe, determine and be abated, for the Benefit of the Publick. XVII. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the Monies comin» into the Exchequer, either by Loans or Exchequer Bills, upon one Act of this Seffion of Parliament^ intituled, An Ail for continuing the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, in that Part of Great Bri- tain called England, and for granting to his Majejly certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty- eight, and lb nuch Money (if any fuch be) of the Duties thereby granted and continued, as (hall arife or remain after all the Loans or Exchequer Bills made or to be made on the fame Act, and all the Intereft, Premium, or Rate and Charges thereon, and the Charges thereby allowable for railing the faid Duties (hall be fatisfied, or Money fufficient (hall be referved in the Exchequer to difcharge the fame; and all the Monies coming into the Exchequer, either by Loans or Exchequer Bills, upon one other Act of this Seffion of Parliament, intituled, An Acl for granting an Aid to his Majejly by a Land Tax, to be raifed in Great Britain, for the Service of the 7. 'ear one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-eight, and lb much Money (if any fuch be) of the Tax thereby granted, as (hall arife or remain, after all the Loans or Exchequer 1 Bills made or to be made on the fame Act, and all the Intereft, Premium, or Rate and Charges thereon, and the Charges thereby allowable for raifing the faid Land Tax, (hall be fatisfied, or Money fufficient ihall be referved in the Exchequer to difcharge the fame ; and the Sum of two millions by this Act granted as aforefaid, (hall be appropriated and applied, and are hereby appropriated for and towards the feveral Ufes, Intents and Purpofes herein before and after expreffed, (ubject neverthelefs to fuch ,;_ Reltrictions as are herein after prefcribed ; that is to fay, It is hereby enacted and declared, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies aforefaid, there (hall and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding one million two hundred forty-two thoufand eight hundred eighty-five Pounds twelve Shillings and five Pence, for or towards the naval Services herein after more parti- cularly expreffed ; that is to fay, For or towards defraying the Charge of the Ordinary of his Ma- jeity's Navy, and for Half pay to Sea Officers, and for or towards Victuals, Wages, Wear and Tear of the Navy, and the Victualling thereof, performed and to be performed ; and for or towards Sea Services in the Office of Ordnance, performed and to be performed. XVIIL And it is hereby enacted, That out of all or -«ny the Aids or Supplies provided as aforefaid there lhall and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of .Money not exceeding forty thoufand Pounds, for the Rebuilding and Repairing Ships of the Royal Navy for the Year one thoufand kven hundred and thirty-eight. XIX. And it is aifo hereby enaifted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, there fhail and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding ten thoufand Pounds upon Account, for or towards the Support of the Royal Hofpital at Greenwich, and for the better Maintenance of the Seamen of the faid Hofpital, worn out and become decrepit in the Service of their Country. XX. And it is hereby alfo enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, there and h a. for'the fiiall and may be iffued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding eighty-fix thou'and a.od nineteen Pounds four Shillings and feven Pence, for or towards defraying the Charge of the Office of Ordnance for Land Service performed and to be performed, and for defraying the extraordinary Expence of the Office of Ordnance for Land Services, not provided for by Parliament.
