4 Dee, It was amongll other Things enacted, That William Allix, and the feveral other Perfons therein ' named, Proprietors of the Undertaking for recovering and preferving the Navigation of the faid River ' Dee, and the Reprefentatives of fuch of the Subfcribers to the faid Indenture or Deeds-poll as were ' dead, their feveral and refpective Succeflbrs, Heirs, and Affigns, fliould be erected into one Company 4 for the Purpofes aforefaid, and be incorporated, by the Name of The Company of Proprietors of the Undtr- 4 taihtg for recovering and preferving the Navigation of the River Dee, and have perpetual Succeflion, and 4 a common Seal, and have Power to do all (uch Acts as the faid Nathaniel Kinderley, his Heirs, Affigns, ' or Nominees, might have done, or were impowered to do, by virtue of the faid Act of the fixth Year ' of his prefent Majefty ; and to take and receive all fuch Duties, Tonnage Dues, and Payments whatfo- ever, as the faid Nathaniel Kinderley, his Heirs, Affigns, or Nominees, were impowered to do by the ' faid Act ; and to embank, inclofe, improve, and apply to the Ufe of the faid Company, the White ' Sands, Soil, and Ground, and other Lands whatfoever, by the faid Act veiled in the faid Nathaniel 4 Kinderley, his Heirs, Affigns, and Nominees, upon the Terms and Conditions in the faid Act mention- 4 ed, in the fame Manner as the faid Nathaniel Kinderley, his Heirs, Affigns, or Nominees, might have 4 done ; and to execute all the Powers and Authorities veiled in the faid Nathaniel Kinderley, his Heirs, 4 Affigns, and Nominees, by the faid Act, and in fuch Manner as the faid Nathaniel Kinderley, his Heirs, 4 Affigns, or Nominees, might have executed the fame, by virtue of the faid Act, fubject to the Limi- 4 tations, Conditions, and Reftrictions in the faid Act mentioned ; as in and by the faid Act of Parlia- 4 ment of the fourteenth Year of his prefent Majefty will more fully appear ; And whereas the Tonnage 4 Rates and Duties, which by the faid Act of Parliament of the fixth Year of his prefent Majefty, are

  • charged and made payable for all Goods, Wares, Merchandizes, and other Commodities, brought

4 into or loaded in the faid River, are by Experience found to be too high, and to be a Difcourage- 4 ment to the Trade of the faid City ; and the Mayor and Citizens of Chefter, and the Merchants and 4 Traders of Chefter have therefore requefted the faid Company of Proprietors of the Undertaking for 4 recovering and preferving the Navigation of the River Dee, to confent that the fame may be repealed,

  • and that, in lieu thereof, other and eafier Tonnage or Keelage Duties may be appointed to be paid

4 to the faid Company which the faid Company have confented to; the doing whereof will be an En- 4 couragement to Trade, and it will be for the common Good of the faid Undertaking, that the faid 4 Acts of Parliament of the fixth and fourteenth Years of his prefent Majefty fliould be explained and

  • amended in the feveral other Particulars hereafter mentioned ; and the faid Company, and the Mayor

4 and Citizens, and Merchants and Traders of Chejler, have accordingly applied for fuch an Act to be 4 palled: And whereas it is reafonable and juft:, that an Act of Parliament fliould pafs for the Purpofes 4 aforefaid ;' May it therefore pleafe your moft Excellent Majefty, at the humble Petition of the Com- pany of Proprietors of the Undertaking for recovering and preferving the Navigation of the River Dee, and of the Mayor and Citizens, and Merchants and Traders of the faid City of Chejler, That it may be enacted, &c. " Repeal of the former Rates of Tonnage. New Rates appointed, viz.
