And be it enacted, That the faid Aids or Supplies provided as aforefaid, fhall not he ifiued or _ ^ * applied to any Ufe, Intent or Purpofe whatfoevery other than the Ufes and Purpofes before mentioned, pr i a[c a, or for the feveral Deficiencies or other Payments directed to be fatisfied thereout by any Act or Acts, or any particular Claufe or Claufes for that Purpofe contained in any other Act or Acts of this prefent Seffion of Parliament. XXI. And as to the faid Sum of twenty-fix thoufand feven hundred feventy-five Pounds fifteen Shil- Ru,es fo f the ungs and ten Pence, by this Act appropriated on Account of Half-pay, as aforefaid; It is hereby enacled ^PP ,lcat,on of and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That the Rules herein after prefcribed fhall be duly obferved in the Application thereof; that is to fay, That no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame, who Sec 19 Gee. 2. was a Minor, and under the Age of fixteen Years, at the Time when the Regiment, Troop, or Com- ° 3 X< pany in which he ferved was reduced; that no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame, except fuch Perfons who did actual Service in fome Regiment, Troop or Company; that no Perfon having any other Place or Employment of Profit, Civil or Military, under his Majefty, fhall have or receive any Part of the faid Half-pay; that no Chaplain of any Garrifon or Regiment, who has any Ecclefiaftical Benefice in Great Britain or Ireland, fhall have or receive any Part of the faid Half-pay; that no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame who hath refigned his Commiffiony and has had no Commiffion fince; that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any Perfon by virtue of any Warrant or Appointment, except to fuch Perfons who would have been otherwife intitled to- the fame as reduced Officers; and that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any of the Officers of the five Regiments of Dragoons, and eight Regiments of Foot, lately disbanded in Ireland, except to fuch as were lately taken off the Eftablifhment of Half-pay in Great Britain. ' XXII. And whereas by an Act of Parliament made in the feventeenth Year of his Majefty's Reign, i7Geo. 2, c.33. f intituled, An A£l for granting to his Majejiy the Sum of one million out of the Sinking Fund; and for appiy-

f feven hundred and forty-four; and for the further appropriating the Supplies granted in this SeJJion of Parlia<- '?nent; and for making forth Duplicates of Exchequer Bills, Lottery Tickets, Certificates, Annuity Orders, and ' other Orders lofl, burnt, or otherwife defrayed; and for giving further Time for the Payment of Duties f omitted to be paid for the Indentures or Contrails of Clerks and Apprentices, and to enable the Revcrjioners of ' certain Annuities therein mentioned, to receive fuch Annuities, if the fame J))all not be demanded within a certain f Time by the Annuitants for Life, until Proof be made that fuch Annuitants are living; feveral Supplies which ' had been granted to his Majefty, as is therein mentioned, were appropriated to feveral Uies and Pur- ' poles therein expreffed, amongft which, any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding thirty-one thou- ' ,1'and fix hundred and ninety-five Pounds and twelve Shillings, was appropriated to be paid to the re-
