Ihem, acconling to this Aft, without any Fee or Charge whatfoever ; and the feveral and refpeftive OfE- cers of the faid Receiptor Exchequer, and of other the publick Offices aforefaid, appointed or to be ap- pointed to take in fuch Siibfcriptions, or receive fuch Confents, as aforefaid, fliall, during the Time afore- faid, conffantly attend at the faid refpe£live Offices for that Purpofe, at fuch Hours as Uufinefs is ufually tranfa£led at the faid feveral and refpecElive Publick Offices. IV. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That all and every Perfon and Perfons, Bodies Politick or Corporate, who have or fhall, on or before the faid twenty-eighth Day of February one thoufand feven hundred and forty-nine, have fubfcribed, or given their Confent in the Book or Books aforefaid, to ac- cept of an Intereft or Annuity after the Rate of three Pounds ten Shillings per Centum per Annutn, from the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty, until the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-feven ; and of an Annuity of three Pounds per Centum per Annum, to commence from the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty- feven, in lieu of their prefent Annuities of four Pounds per Centum per Annum, fhall have, receive and en- joy, and they are hereby declared to be intitled to an Annuity of three Pounds ten Shillings /i^r Centum per Annum., from the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand kvsn hundred and fifty, until the (aid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand k-^sw hundred and fifty-feven ; and to an A..nnuity of three Pounds per Centum per Annwn, from the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand {zm^w hundred and fifty-feven, redeemable by Parliament, in Manner herein-after mentioned ; and the faid Annuities of three Pounds ten Shillings per Centum per Annum, and three Pounds per Centum per Annum, and the Prin- cipal or Capital for which the fame fhall be payable, are hereby declared, and fhall be adjudged, taken and accepted in Conftrudlion of Law, and in all Courts of Law and Equity whatfoever, to all Intents and Purpofes whatfoever, to be a Perfonal and not a Real Eftate, and fhall go to the Executors or Adminiftrators of the Per- fon or Perfons dying pofleffed thereof, interefted therein, or intitled thereunto, and not to the Heirs of fuch Perfon or Perfons ; any Law, Statute, Cuflom or Ufage to the contrary notwithftanding ; and that the faid Annuities fhall be free from all Taxes, Charges and Impofitions whatfoever, in the fame Alanner as they now are. V. And it is hereby enafled and declared. That it fhall and may be lawful for all Executors, Admini- ftrators, Guardians, Truflecs, Committees of the Eftates of Ideots or Lunatlcks, and the Accomptant Ge- neral of the Court of Chancery, and the Deputy Remembrancer of his Majelfy's Court of Exchequer, to make, or caufe to be made, Subfcriptions in the faid Book or Books, fignifying their Confent to accept an Intereft or Annuity of three Pounds ten Shillings per Centum per Annum, from the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoui'and feven hundred and fifty, until the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-feven, and of an Annuity of three Pounds per Centum per Annum, to commence from the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-feven, for and on the Be- half of their refpective Teftators, Infants, Minors, Femes Covert, Ideots orLunaticks, and the Suitors of the Court of Chancery, and of the faid Court of Exchequer and others, for whom they are or fhall be re- fpeiSlively entrufted ; and fuch Executors, Adminiftrators, Guardians, Truftees, Committees, and Ac- comptant General, and Deputy Remembrancer, are and fhall be, by virtue of this KSt, indemnified in and for doing the fame. VI. Provided always, and be it further enafled by the Authority aforefaid, That the Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the time being, fhall have Power, and they are hereby authorized, out of any Money remaining in the Receipt of the Exchequer, of or for the Duties, Revenues and Incomes ap- propriated for the Payment of the faid Annuities of four Pounds per Centum per Annwn, to reward all fuch Perfons as fhall be any ways employed in the Execution of this Aft, in relation to the taking in fuch Sub- fcriptions, or receiving fuch Confents as aforefaid, and to defray all fuch incident Charges, as fn.'.ll neceffa- rily attend the Execution of the faid Aft, in fuch Manner as to them fhall feem juft and reafonable. VII. And it is hereby alfo enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That all the Duties, Re'enue3 and Incomes v/hich are now appropriated, fubjeft or applicable to the Payment of the faid Annuities of four Pounds per ' Centum per Annum, fhall, from and after the faid twenty-fifth Day o{ December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty, be fubjeft and liable to the Payment of fuch of the faid Annuities of four Pounds per Centum per Annum, as fhall not be fubfcribed, in cafe any fhall be unfubfcribed, and alfo of the faid reduced Annuities of three Pounds ten Shillings, and three Pounds per Centum per Annum, in the fame Manner, to all Intents and Purpofes, as the fame were liable and fubjeft to the Payment of the faid Annuities of four Pounds ^/r Centum per Annum ; and all the Monies coming into the Exchequer, of or for the feveral Duties, P-.eveniics and Incomes, appropriated, fubjeft or liable to the Payment of the faid unfubfcribed Annuities and of the faid reduced Annuities of three Pounds ten Shillings per Centum per Amnnn, and three Pounds iVr Ccv;r//.r7 per Annum, which fhall be more than fufficient to anfvver and pay the faid refpeftive Annuities, fhall, from and after the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand (even hundred and fifty, be applied to the (amc Ufes, Intents and Purpofes, and in the fame Manner, as the feveral Surplufles, Exceifes, or Overplus Monies of the faid Duties, Revenues and Incomes are novv applicable. VIII. Provided always, and it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That from And after the (afi twenty-fifth Day o( December one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-feven, the faid reduced Annuities of three Pounds per Centum per Anman, fhall and may be redeemed by Parliament, upon giving the fame Notices, and making the fame Payments of Principal Money at a Tiine to fuch Perfons or Corporations as now are, or hereafter fliall be, intitled to the find Annuities, and of all Arrearages of the faid Annuities, as are di- refted to be given and made by the feveral and refpeftive Afts, bv which the faid feveral Annuities, after the Rate of four Pounds per Centum per Annum, were made jiayable, and from and after Payment of any fuch Principal Money, to the faid Perfons or Corporations, as are or fliall be in.itkd to tli; fame, a prp- pottionat
