'AT the Parliament begun and holden at Westminster the tenth Day of November, Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and forty-seven, in the twenty-first Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, i£c. and from thence continued by several Prorogations to the seven- teenth Day of January one thousand seven hundred and fifty. Being the fourth Session of this present Parliament.'
CAP. I. An Act for continuing and granting to his Majefiy certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-one. EXP. CAP. II, An A6t for granting to his Majefty the Sum of two millions one hundred thoufand Pounds, to be raifed by Annuities and a Lottery, and charged on the Sinling Fund, redeemable by- Parliament. MOST Gracious Sovereign ; We your Majefty's mofl: dutiful and loyal Subjefls, the Commons of Great Britain in Parliament aflembled, being defirous to raife the neceffary Supplies which we have chearfuUy granted to your R^ajefty in the eafiefl manner we are able for the Benefit of your Subjefls, have freely and voluntarily given and granted, and by this Aft do give and grant unto your Majefty the Sum of two millions one hundred thoufand Pounds, to be raifed in fuch Manner and Form as is herein after di- rected ; and to that End and Purpofe do moft humbly befeech your Majefty that it may be ena£ted , and be it enafced by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords .
