XXXIII. And it is hereby enabled by the Authority aforefaid. XXXIV. Provided alfo, and it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That any Time upon one ciaufe of Ra- Year's Notice, to be printed in the London Gazette, and affixed upon the Royal Exchange in London, by <l^™Po"' Authority of Parliament, at any of the half-yearly Feaft Days for Payment of the faid refpective An- ^ nuities, or either of them, and upon Repayment by Parliament of the refpeftive principal Sums for which the faid refpeftive Annuities or either of them fhall be payable to fuch refpeftive Perfons or Corporations as fhall be entitled to the fame Annuities, by Payments not lefs than five hundred thoufand Pounds at a Time ; then, and not till then, the faid refpeftive Annuities fhall ceafe and determine, and be underflood to be redeemed ; and from and after fuch Redemption, the Monies ariling from the faid Sinking Fund, fhall not be iffued or applied to any Ule or Purpofe, but as fliall be direfted by future Aft or Acts of Parlia- ment ; any Thing in this or any former Aft or Afts of Parliament to the contrary notwithftanding ; and that any Vote or Refolution of the Houfe of Commons, fignified by the Speaker in Writing, to be inferted in the Londin Gazette, and affixed on the Royal Exchauge in London as aforefaid, fnall be deeined and ad- judged to be fufficient Notice within the vVords and Meaning of this Aft. XXXV. And it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Perfon or Perfons fhall at any Tiine or Times be fued or profecuted for any Thing by him or them done or executed in purfuance of this Aft, or of any Matter or Thing in this Aft contained, inch Perfon or Perfons fhall and may plead the Ge-G^i^f^' I'l^^'- iieral lifue, and give the Special A'latter in Evidence for his or their Defence ; and if upon the Trial a Verdift {hall pafs for the Defendant or Defendants, or the Plaintiff or Plaintiffs fliall become nonfuited, then fuch Defendant or Defendants fhall have treble Cofts to him or tkera awarded ag.iinft fuch PlaintiffTicble Cofls.. or PlaintiiFs.
