An Ad to render more effefltial an Aft made in the twelfth Year of the Reign of her late Ma- jefty Queen /inne, intituled, An A3 for providing a ptiblick B^cward for fuch Perfon or Pcr'otis as fhall difccver the Longitude at Se^?, with regard to the making Experiments of Propolais made for difcovering the Longitude; and to enlarge the Number of Commifiioners for putting in Execution the faid Act. H E R E AS by an Aft of Parliament made in the twelfth Year of the Reign of her late Majefty, Qiieen Anne, intituled. An ASi for providing a puMiek Reivard for f<eb Per/'ci or Perfons as JImU dij- , cover the Longitude at Sea, the Commiffioners therein and thereby named and cohftituted, or any five or more of them, have full Power to hear and receive any Propofal or Propofals that fliall b? made tothein for difcovering the faid Longitude; and in cafe the faid Commiffioners, or any five or more of them (hall be fo far fatisfied of the Probability of any fuch Dif-overy, as to tliink it proper to make Expe- riment thereof, they lliall certify the fame under their Hands and Seals to the Commiffioners o( the Navy for the Time being, together with the Perfons Names who are Authors of fuch Propo.a's ; and upon producing fuch Certificate, the faid Commiffioners are thereby authorized and required to make out a Bill or Bills for any fuch Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding two thoufand Pounds, as the faid Commiffioners for the Difcovcry of the faid Longitude, or any five or more of them, fhall think, neceffary for making the Experiments, payable by the Treafurer of the Navy; which Sum or ' Sums tz Ann. ft. •.15.
