- XXIV. And whereas divers wicked Pra<ftices have been carried on, by perfonating and falfely afTuming
- the Names and Characters of Officers, Seamen and others, intitled, or fuppofed to be intitled, to Wages,
- Pay or other Allowances of Money, or Prize Money, for ferving on Board of Ships or Veflels of the
- Royal Navy, and by forging and counterfeiting Letters of Attorney, Bills, Tickets, /Lffignments, Laft
- Wills and other Authorities and Powers, from fuch Officers and Stamen, and by falfely taking outPro-
- bate of Wills and Letters of Adminiftration, to fuch Officers and Seamen ;' Be it therefore enadTed by the
Authority aforefaid.
