And be it enacted by the King's nioft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament alfembled, and by the Authority of the fame. That fo much of an Adt made in the nineteenth Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, intituled. An Atl for the further Pun'ijh merit of Perfons going armed or difguifed^ in Defiance of the Laws of Ctifloms or Excife ; and for indemnifying Offh-ders againjl thofe Laws, upon the Terms therein mentioned; and for Relief of Officers of the Cujioms in Informations upon Seizures ; which A£l was to continue in Force for the Space of icy^n Years, and from ttience to the End of the then next Sefllon of Parliament ; as relates to the further Puniihment of Perfons going armed or difguifed, in Defiance of the Laws of Cuftoms or Excife, and to the Relief of Officers of the Cuftoms in in- formations upon Seizures ; which, by an A£l made in the twenty-fixth Year of the Reign of his faid Majefty, was further continued from the Expiration thereof until the twenty-fourth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-eight, and from thence to the End of the then next SefTion of Parliament, fhall be further continued from the Expiation thereof, until the twenty-ninth Day of Septe?nber one thoufand feven hundred and fixty-four, and from thence to the End of the then next Seflion of Parliament.

  • II. And whereas feveral of the Penalties or Forfeitures made payable by an A£l pafTed in the

  • Bread were not by fuch faid laft-mentioned A£l appropriated how or to whom the fame fhould,

' when paid or recovered, go or be diftributed ;' Be it therefore further ena<Si:ed by the Authority aforefaid, 7'hat fuch of the Penalties or Forfeitures which, from and after the twenty-fourth Day of 'June one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-nine, fhall incur or become payable by or under the faid 1 aft-mentioned A£l, or by reafon of any thing therein contained (as by the faid hdi are not particu- larly difpofcd of, or appropriated, how or to whom the fame fhould go or be applied) fhall, when the fame fhall be recovered or paid, go, and be diftributed, in Manner following ; that is to fay, One Moiety thereof, v/here any Oft'ender or Oft'enders fliall be convicted, either by his, her or their own Confcffion, or by the Oath of one or more credible Witnefs or Witneil'cs, (hall go and be paid to the Perfon or Perfons who (hall inform againft, and profecute to Conviction, any fuch Offender or Offenders and the other Moiety thereof, and alio all Penalties and Forfeitures, which, from the faid twenty-fourth Day oijune one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-nine, fhall incur, be due, or payable, under the faid laft-mentioned Aft, on the Weighing, Trying, or Seizure of any Bread, by any Magiftrate or Maj!;iftratcs, Juftice or Juftices, fliall go and be applied for the better carry- ing into Execution the Purpofes of the faid laft mentioned Adt, as any iuch Magiftrate or Magi- , ftrates, Juftice or Juftices, within his or their rcfpedtivc Jurifdidtion.
