A COLLECTION OF HYMNS COMPILED BY CASPAR WEISS.

Manuscript. This is the collection which seems to have been the origin of the series from which the "Saur edition" developed. A subsequent chapter is devoted to an account of the hymns of this collection and includes a sketch of the compiler. Whether the original manuscript still exists, has not been fully determined.^[1]

This manuscript the writer has seen, but did not have the opportunity for an extended examination of it. Besides, the title-page, the preface, and a part of the index are missing. A. F. H.
