In mony turned tyme tene þat wroȝten.

Þis kyng lay at Camylot vpon Krystmasse
With mony luflych lorde, ledeȝ of þe best,
Rekenly of þe Rounde Table alle þo rich breþer,
40With rych reuel oryȝt and rechless merþes.

Justed ful jolilé þise gentyle kniȝtes,
Syþen kayred to þe court caroles to make.

Þe most kyd knyȝteȝ vnder Krysted seluen,
