Prince from the first; and as the dance progresses he becomes so interested that he comes down from the throne to watch her more closely. As the first figure ends he is close beside her.

The Prince. [To Snow White.]

In the measure to ensue,
Lady, may I dance with you?

Snow White. [Giving him her hand.]

Sir, could any maid withstand
Such a flattering command ?

The Prince.

Then I ask another grace,
Won't you please unveil your face?

Snow White. [Hesitating, and then,]

Yes, if secret it may be,
Secret between you and me.

[The second figure of the Dance begins, Snow White now dancing with the Prince. Once in awhile we overhear what they are saying.
