Hence, redolent of joy ferene,
Divine love’s elevated mien;
Hence peace and genuine honour spread
Their blended glories round the head;
Hence the meek eye with hope replete,
Yet beaming with a seraph’s heat;

So, poets feign, Prometheus stole
