warmed with the hallowed fire of heaven, and their minds enlightened by the truths of thy Word; so shall the instructions they impart to thy people, be as thy voice speaking from the burning bush, proclaiming thyself as the Deliverer of thy people from the oppressive bondage of iniquity and sin, and our Divine Conductor to thy kingdom above. O be present this day in the midst of our assemblies to bless thine inheritance; for from Thee, O Lord Jesus, cometh our everlasting help.

MOST adorable Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ, we acknowledge with gratitude, that we have been richly blessed, through this day of the Sabbath, with the means of being drawn into a spiritual union with Thee, and thus of being privileged to taste of angels' food. O grant that the instructions we have heard from Thy Word, may be so impressed upon the inmost principles of our lives, that we may continue to follow Thee in the paths of righteousness and peace, and thus be permitted, in mercy, to eat the good of the land. Gracious God! thou hast been pleased to give us thy Word, as the means of our communicating with heaven, which opens to our delighted minds the brightest prospects of a future world. Give us the single eye and the understanding heart; so shall we know that thy Truth leads upwards to Thee, the chief and only Good. It is by thy Word that a constant communication is kept up
