the natural mind; pour the oil of love upon the waters of strife and contention. Speak the words, " Peace, be still!" and instantly the storm shall become a calm. Blessed Lord and Saviour. Thou who art the Way, the Truth, and the Life, help us to follow Thee in the way, that so the way may lead us into all truth, and the truth into the life that is everlasting. Lord, dismiss us now with thy blessing; teach us to love each other as thou hast loved us, and to Thee be ascribed all honour and glory for ever. Our Father, &c.
Monday Morning.
ALMIGHTY LORD GOD and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Creator and Giver of all good; we desire to bless and praise Thee for mercies continually dispensed by thy bountiful hand. O give us thankful hearts to acknowledge thy goodness, and to receive with humble gratitude the gifts of thy providence and grace. We thank Thee, O Lord, for those sacred privileges which we enjoy in thy sanctuary, whenever we assemble therein to worship with thy people! Sweet and refreshing to our souls are thy Sabbaths of rest. In each Thou presentest to thy spiritual worshippers a feast of fat things. It is in those heavenly feasts of devotion that we feel thy sacred presence, and perceive Thee in the midst of thy people as the Great Shepherd of Israel, imparting to each humble guest the true bread of life. May our minds be open to receive from Thee that love and wisdom which Thou dost in mercy impart to every humble soul.
