Forestry.— The woodland area of Great Britain in 1908 was 2,781,963 acrsa (Kiuland, 1,720,330 ; Wales, 186,723 ; and Scotland, 874,910). Included in these figures are 127,509 acres of plantations, i.e., land planted within the preceding 10 Tears (England, 72,008 ; Wales, 11,355 : and Scotland, 44,146).
In Ireland in 1918, 289,944 acres were under woods and plantations. II. Fisheries.
