Existing delegations

13. A purported delegation of a power or duty under the old section is valid in relation to any act done before the date of commencement of section 12 if the power or duty could have been delegated under the new section.

CONTINUITY ARRANGEMENTS FOR PARLIAMENT

Amendment of Parliament (Privileges, Immunities and Powers) Act

14. The Parliament (Privileges, Immunities and Powers) Act (Cap. 217) is amended—

(a) by deleting the words “Parliament House and the precincts thereof” in the definition of “Parliament” in section 2 and substituting the words “the place or places appointed under Article 64(2) of the Constitution for holding sessions of Parliament”; and
(b) by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (q) of section 31 and substituting the word “; or”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:
“(r) when Parliament is sitting and meeting under continuity arrangements made under Article 64A of the Constitution, knowingly or rashly do any act that interferes or is likely to interfere with the means by which Members located at different places contemporaneously communicate with one another.”.
