ఓటు otu, 5. Defeat. ఓటుపడు otupaclu, z?. n. To be defeated. 2. To stand motionless, from fear, &c.

ఓడ oda. s. A ship, a vessel. ఓడకొడికంబము odakodikambamu, A main mast. ఓడరేవు odarevu, The seashore, or beach.

ఓడు odu, t?. 7*. To lose, to be defeated. 2. To be afraid. 3. To drop, or trickle out. s. Want of success, defeat. 2. A crack, chink, or hole.

ఓడించు odintsu, v. a. To defeat, to overcome.

ఓడిగించు odigintsu, v. a. To pour out all the liquid in a vessel, by turning the mouth downwards.

ఓడుబిళ్లలు odabillalu, s. plu. Tiles.

ఓఢ్రులు oclhrulu, 5. plu. The people of Orissa.

ఓత్వము otwamu, s. The connected form of ఓ O, viz. ో O.

ఓపు opu, v. n. To be able ; to possess the power of doing. ఓపిక opika, Abstract nonn. Ability, activity, diligence,: assiduity. 2. Patience. ఓపమి opami, negative noun. Inability, indolence, laziness. ఓపలేనివాడు opalenivadu, A helpless, sick, or impotent man.

ఓము omu, v. a. To preserve, to cherish.

ఓయి oyi, inter j. O ! This particle is often prefixed to the vocative case, or used in other instances, when we address persons of equal rank.

ఓరసిలు, ఓరసిల్లు orasilu, orasillu, v. n. To move aside.

ఓరు oru, s. Sound, noise. 2. The red painting upon the lower part of the walls of a native house, used during festivals or other auspici- ous ceremonies, as a decoration to the dwelling.
