లే
లే le, adj. A contraction of లేత leta, q. v. inierj. Get up ! up with you! In this sense, it is a contraction of the imperative of the verb లేచుletsu, q. v.
లేక leka, s- This is the negative verbal participle of కలుగు kalugu, q- v. ; affixed to a notin substantive it denotes. Without. 2- Or, or if not; as, గుఱ్ఱములేకపోలేను gnrrramulekapolenu, I cannot go without a horse. ఇదైనాలేక అదైన idainalekaadaiua-, Either this, or that; this, or if not, that. Added to the infinitive of any verb, it .denotes unable; as, చేయలేక cheyaleka, Unable to do. రాలేక raleka, Unable to come. లేకపోతే lekapote, adv. Otherwise, if not. లేకవుండు lekavundu, To be absent.
లేఖ lekha, s- A letter. లేఖకుడు lekhakudu, s. A writer, or scribe. లేఖనము lekhanamu, s. "Writing, scripture.

లేగటియావు legatiyavu, 5. A cow, newly with call.
లేచు letsu, p. n. To rise, get up, or arise, vide లేపు lepu.
లేట leta, s. The bough, or branch, of a tree.
లేటమొగము letamogamu, s. Turning the face) retreating.
లేడి ledi, s. An antelope. లేడికంటి ledikanti, s. lit. Antelope eyed. A female with the vivid glance of the antelope.

లేదు ledu, adv. This is the neuter third person singular of the negative aorist of కలుగు kalugn, q. v. Besides the power which is there explained to belong to that aorist, as an auxiliary verb, when conjugated through it's several persons, this word used indeclinably as an adverb has two senses peculiar to itself. 1st, placed after a nominative of any of the three persons and the infinitive of any verb, it is a simple negative particle denying the action of the verb with reference to the past time only , as. నేనుచేయలేదు nemicheyaledu. 1 did not do.2dly,used independently of itself, it is a simple negative par- ticle,denying existenee,uppiicable to all persons, but without reference to any time, and opposed to కాదు kadu, which denies essence, quality, &e- The contrary of. లేదు ]edu ; there is not? is కద్దు kaddu, There is ; but the contrary of కాదు kadu, is అవును aynnn, q. v.
