And moreover, the great council of the kingdom made a decree, That at any time, when the mariners of the fhips of Columbia fliould be taken captives by the fervants of the king, that they fhould be put into the kings Tnips, and be made to fight againfl their brethren, the people of the provinces; and die (hips of Columbia fiiould be for a fpoil to the fervants of the king.
6. And furthermore, it was decreed in the council, That the people of the provinces fliould be treated as enemies, and aliens to the kingdom of Britain.
