We worship Thee in Thy glorified humanity, as God in Christ, the divinity in the humanity, reconciling the world unto Thyself, not imputing our trespasses unto us. O how unbounded was Thy love in the great work of redemption! Neither word nor deed on our part can sufficiently testify our gratitude. We praise Thee, O Lord, we acknowledge Thee to be our Saviour; heaven and earth are full of the majesty of Thy glory. Thou hast rescued us from the power of our spiritual enemies, Thou hast restrained their infernal influence. Thy providence hedges us round about, Thy wisdom guides, Thy omnipotence sustains and defends us, and Thy love and mercy has prepared and set up a kingdom, where, if we are faithiul unto death, we shall receive and enjoy a crown of life. O how great is Thy goodness, and how great Thy mercy! We glorify Thee, O Lord Jesus Christ. Thou only art worthy to receive adoration and praise. Amen. Our Father, etc.

FRIDAY EVENING.

MOST mercial Lord God, with a decp sonso of Thy loving-kindness

towards us we approach the footstool of Thy throne, to offer up our thanks and praises for Thy protection of us during the past day. Deign to accept our humble tribute. O Lord,—the tribute of gratefal hearts, all we have to offer; but we know if this humble sacrifice be sincerely offered, it will be accepted, for Thy Word assures us that "a humble and contrite heart. O Lord. Thou wilt not despise."

Never oan we be sufficiently thankful for the gift of Thy holy Word; in it we learn our duty, and its divine truth is the language of Thy glorious person; it is Thy sacrod voice, speaking to us in our own tongue, and adapting itself by natural imagery to our humble condition. Lord, let Thy blessing accompany the portion we have this night read, and bring home to our souls its spiritual application. We offer humble and contrite hearts in sacrifice. O let our sacrifice be seasoned by heavenly affection. Grant that our hearts may overflow with inward Jove and fervent gratitude, that wo may he seasoned by heavenly affection, fer only can we be accepted as we are salted with fire, and this fire the fervour of divine love. Amen.
