MONTONEGRO (PRINCIPALITY).
In 1837, this government had medals struck to reward the Klephts (Armatols) for their services in the Greek War of Independence; these medals contain the Russian arms, and inscription: 'To loyalty and valour.' Prince Daniel distributed about two hundred of them in 1853.
