OAK BENCH, STEYNING CHURCH.-Drawn by M. B. Adams.

OAK BENCH, STEYNING, SUSSEX.

THE oak bench illustrated this week is stored away in the Tower of Steyning, Church: it is a good example of old English furniture, and certainly worthy of a better place than that assigned to it, though now in a dilapidated condition. Its style appears to be Elizabethan, or early James I.; I should, however, be glad if any one would give their opinion as to its date. Maurice B. Adams.
