President of Gresham College, 1664-67 ; Cl ancellor to Katharine, the Queen Consort, 1662 ; Commissioner of the Admiralty, 1664, and Master of St. Katharine's Hospital, London, 1681. He rf. unui. in St. James-street, Westm. 5 April 1684, and was bur. in the chapel of St. Katharine's afsd. Will dat. 26 Dec. 1683, in his " 64th year," pr. 5 April 1684. (") He was an author and poet.
