J ci5 K The Barony of Bruce of Kinloss and the Earldom of Elgin, [S.l, cr. 1633, as well, apparently, as the Bauony ok Bhuce ok Kinloss [S.], cr. 1604 (of which there had never been any resignation) devolved on the heir »i<rfe. The Barony of Bruce of Kinloss [S.], cr. 1608, would apparently (unless a question be raised as to the import of the word "assigns") devolve (contrariwise) on the heir oj line, together with the Barony ok Kinloss [S.], cr. 1 002, which, by decision of the House of Lords, 21 July 1S68, was bo adjudged to the Duke of Buckingham.
