Lucas (Dillon), Viscount Dillon of Costello- Gallen [I.], cousin and h. male, being s. and h. of Theobald Dillon, by Sarah, formerly Sarah BOCHKS, spinster, his wife, which Theobald was yr. br. to Lucas and Thomas, 2d and 4th Viscounts abovenamed. He obtained a considerable grant from Charles II. He m. firstly Ursula, da. of William (Duncan), 1st Earl of Limerick [I.], by Euphcruia. He m. secondly, late in 1681, Anue, 1st da. of Richard (Nuuent), 1st Earl of WkstMBATH [I.], by Mary, da. of Sir Thomas Nugent, Bart. [[.] With her he had n fortune of XI, 500. He d. s.p. of dropsy at Killenfagny afsd. in Sep. or Oct. 1682. Will dat. 2 Sep. 1682, pr. at Dublin. His widow m. Sir William Talbot. 3d Bart. [I.], of Carton. Her will dat. 1711. VII. 1G82. 7. Theobald (Dillon), Viscount Dillon of Costello- Gallen [I.], cousin and h. male, beiug s. and h. of Uobert Dillon of Loughglynu, co. Roscommon, by Rose, 1st da. of John Dillon, of Streamstowu, which Robert was s. and h. of Sir Lucas D. of Loughglynn, afsd., the 2d s. of the 1st Viscount, lie was Lieut. Col. in Clanricarde's Reg. of Guards in the Irish army of James II; was attainted in 1690, which attainder, however, was reversed to his son. He m. Mary, da. of Sir Henry Taldot, of Mount Talbot, co. Roscommon. He was killed at the battle of Aughrim 12 July 1691. ( b ) His widow was accidentally killed in Limerick during the siege by the explosion of a bomb a few weeks later. VIII. 1691. S. Henry (Dillon), Viscount Dillon of Costello- Gallen [I.], s. and h. ; was MP. for co. Westraeath in King James' Pari, held at Dublin, 7 May 1689 ; Lord Lieut, of co. Roscommon, Gov. of tlalsvay, and Col. of a Reg. of Foot in that King's army. In Trin. term, 1694, the outlawry of his father was reversed, and he appears to have sat in the House of Lords [1.] He M. (articles 7 July J6S7), Frances, 2d da. of Sir George Hamilton, Count Hamilton in France, by Frances (afterwards Duchess of Tyrconnel [I.]), da. of Richard JKNSINQS, of Sandridge, Herts. Bed. 13 and was far. 23 Jany. 1713/4, at Bally- liaunus Priory, co. Roscommon. Will dat. the day before death, pr. at Dublin. His, widow m. Patrick Bkllew, of Barmeath, who d. v. p. 12 June 1720.
