He was sometime M.P. for Winchelsea, 1741-17; and for Sarum, 1747-50 ; Lord of the Bcd- chamber to the Prince of Wales, 1717. He m. firstly, 3 April 173S, Mary, da. and h. of Anthony SHEPPABD, of Newcastle, co. Longford. She d. of small pox, 11 Aug. following, and was bur. there. Admou. 30 April 1739. Cork, by Elizabeth( b ), only da. of (whose issue became heir to) Arthur Viscountcy [I.] (St. Leoer), 1st Viscount Doneraile [I.] abovenained ; was y 17Q,-. M.P. for Doneraile, 1749-76, and, having sue, in 1767, to the . 1 OO. estates of Ins maternal uncle, the last Viscount, assumed the name of St. Lajtr in lieu of that of Aldworth, and was cr., 2 July 1776, BARON DONERAILE of Doneraile, co. Cork [I.], taking his seat 27 Jany. 1778. On 22 June 1785 he was cr. VISCOUNT DONEKAILG of Doneraile, co. Cork [I.] He m. Mary, 1st da. of Redmond Barry of Ballvclogh, co. Cork. She d. 3 March 1778.
