Joseph-Titaddeus (DORMER), Baron Dormer OP Wtnq, cousin and h. male, being the only surv. s. and h. of John Dormer, a gen. in the Austrian service, by Elizabeth, 2nd da. of Gabriel, Count Buttler, of the Kingdom of Hungary, which John (who d. 21 Nov. 1795, aged 65) was the next br. (who left issue) of the 8th Baron. He was 6. 1 June 1790, at Gran, in Hungnry ; was an officer in the Austrian Service, kc. He m. 5 May 1829, at Tichborne, Hants, Elizabeth Anna, 1st da. and coheir of Sir Henry Joseph TlCH- noRNE, 8th Bart., by Anne, da. of Sir Joseph Burke, Bart., of Marble Hill. He d. 5 July 1871, at Grove Park, aged 81. Will pr. 25 July 1871, under £16,000. Hia widow d. i July 18S3, in Chapel street, Park lane, Midx., aged 75. Will pr. 12 Oct. 1883, over £4,000. Ros- common, by Louisa, da. of Thomas-William (Anson), 1st Earl op Lichfield. She d. 9 Sep. 1S68, in her 30th year, at Grove Park. He m., secondly, 11 Feb. 1871, Leonie, widow of Count Alfred De Bueren, da. of ( — ) Porta Mrs, Senator of Belgium. She d. in Belgium, 1 Sep. 18S3, aged 40. He m., thirdly, S Jan. 18S5, at the Oratory, Bromp- ton, Midx., Ernily-Constance-Campbell, da. of John Bald, of Monzie Castle, co. Perth, and Upper Grosveuor street, Midx. Family Estates These, in 1S83, consisted of 2,246 acres in co. Warwick, and of 1,189 in Bucks. Total 3,435 acres valued at £6,020 a year. Principal Residence Grove Park, co. Warwick. Henry, Count of Seez, by Isabella, da of Robert, Duke op Nor- to mandv, and consequently nephew of ■William I, King of Eng- 1 nqq land, received from that King the grant of Sherborne and other • lauds co. Dorset, and is said by some to have been cr. EARL OF DORSET [Comes Durotrigum] or EARL OF SOMERSET, about 1070. He was Chancellor to the King about 1075, and consecrated Bishop op Salishury, 1078. He endowed that See with Sherborne and other his lands and was Founder of the Cathedral of old Sarum. He d. num. 3 Dec. 1099 and was bur. at Salisbury when all his honours became extinct.
