David (Falconer), Lord Falconer of HALKER- TOUN [S.I, cousin and h. male, being 1st surv. s. and h. of Sir David Falconer, of Newton, a Lord of Session [S.] under the style of " Lord Newton " by his second wife, Mary, da. of George Norvell, of Boghall, co. Linlithgow, which Sir David was 2d s. of "Sir David F., of Glenfarquhar, abovementioned, the next br. to the first Lord. He was b. 16S1 and was "a man of great honour, probity, and iutegrity."(°) He m. (contract 27 Nov. 1703, the lady being 13A years old) at Keith Hall, Catharine Margaret, 1st da. of William (Keith), 2d Eari, of Kintork [S.], by Catharine, da. of David (Murray), 1th Viscount Stormont [S.J He d. 24 Sep. 1751, in his 71st year at Inglismaldie. His widow, who was bap. at Keith Hall, 29 June 1690, d. at Edinburgh, 1 March 1762, in her 72d year. ( B ) Anne Fairfax, his only surv. child inherited his estates ; she d. unm. 8 May 1793, when they passed to her cousin, Charles Gregory Pigott, afterwards Fairfax, s and h. of Nathaniel Pigott, the b. and h. of Ralph Pigott, by Alethea, only sister of the 9th and last Viscount. " There is a charter, to Alexander, Lord Falconer of Halkertoun, of the lands of Diracroft, co.
