[I.] for Carriek-on- Shannon, 1703, and for co. Roscommon, 1713, aud was cr. 18 April 1715, BARON SAINT GEORGK OF HAT LEY SAINT GliORGE, in the counties of Roscommon aud Leitrim [I.], with a spec. rem. failing heirs male of his body, to those of his father. He m. 29 Nov. 1681, Margaret, da of John (Skkffington), 2d Viscount Massereene, [LJby Mary, only da. and h. of John (Clotwohtuy), 1st Viscount Masseheene [I.] She d. 1711. He d. s.p.ni., 4 Aug. 1735, when all his honours became extinct. 11. 17G3, 1. St. George St. George, furmprhj Usher, of Head- to fort, co. Galway. ouly s. and h. of John UsHKR, of the same, Vice 1775. Admiral of Conuaught, by Mary, only da. and h. of George (Saint George), Baron Saint George, of Hatley Saint George [I.], and Margaret, his wife, both abovenamed, b. about 1715 ; took the surname of St. George in lieu of that of Usher, 25 May 1734 ; was M.P. [I.] for Carrick-upon-Shannon, 1741-63, and was cr. 24 May 1763, BARON SAINT GEORGE OF HATLEY SAINT UKORGE,in the counties of Roscommon and Leitrim [I.] He m. 18 July 1752, Elizabeth, da. and h. of Christopher Dominick, of Dublin. He d. s.p.m.s.( c ) Jan. 1775 when the peerage became extinct. His widow d. in Dublin, 26 Feb. 1813, in her 81st year. (») Misprinted as " 1642 " in Wood's Douglas. ( b ) This Oliver was a. and h. of Sir George St. George, of Carrickdrumrusk afsd. (d. 1662), who was 4th s. of Sir Richard St. George, of Hatley St. George, co. Cambridge, where the family had long been settled. He and his jr. br., Richard settled in Ireland, where the latter was ancestor of the Baronets [I.], so cr. in 1766, which title is still (1895) extant. Their father, the Sir Richard St. George abovenamed, was Clarenceux King of Arms 1623 — 1635 (having been Norrog 1603 — 1623), being father of Sir Henry St. George, Garter King of Arms, April to Oct. 1644 (having been Norrog, 1635-44), three of whose four sons were also Kings of Arms, viz. (1) Sir Thoinas St. George, Garter, 1685/6—1702/3 ; (having been Norroy, 1679/80—1685/6) (2) Sir Heury St. George (the youugcr) Garter, 1703—1715 (having been Norrog, 1677—1679, and Clarenceux, 1679—1703), and (3) Sir Richard St. George, Ulster King of Arms [I.], 1660 — 1683. Thus in but three generations there were five of this family who were Kings of Arms. ( c ) Olivia Emily, his only da. aud h., m. 4 Nov. 1775, William Robert (Fitz Gerald), 2d Duke of Leiuster [L]
